bad day
Have you ever had one of those days? I have... today.
So I wake up to a ringing cell phone, my cell phone. By the time I come to my senses, the phone has stopped ringing and I go back to sleep. I finally get up for work and check my phone. I have a voice mail from my aunt. IT seems she received an email saying I was in Nigeria and in need of money.
I proceed to swear profusely, if not externally, then internally. I go try and log in to my hotmail account. I've had this account for 8 to 10 years, never had a good password on it, but also never had it hacked, well... until now. It was a good run. My fault for not putting in a good password.
ARGH! roach in my place.. won't this day end?.. ok short version then I have to help catch a roach.
1.)Woken up early by cell
2.)Hotmail account hacked and I'm locked out of it
3.)Can't find a means of contacting hotmail people
4.)Running late to catch the bus
5.)Watch 3 buses go by in the wrong direction
6.)Get on el, have to stand
7.)By the time I get to work I have missed 6 calls and have 3 messages, all about Nigeria
8.)1/2 dozen people at work approach me about Nigeria
9.)On the way back from lunch, I sit between two people
10.)By now my phone is near dead
11.)I schedule a meeting for 3 to 4, knowing it'll run late
12.)3pm meeting runs until 6:30, I miss class, I check the bus schedule and see that I make a 6:50 bus
13.)Co-worker offers me a rid to the el, I decline because I can make a bus
14.)I wait 15 min for the bus, it arrives
15.)Bus is only going a third of the way of its full route, I ask the bus driver if another bus will come and I'm told that one will.
16.)I wait
17.)and wait
18.)and wait
19.)At 8:30 I text people on my near dead phone asking them to look up the bus schedule.
20.)No more buses for the evening
21.)My sister picks me up and I get home at 10:30pm
22.)I get home and realize I've been wearing my t-shirt backwards all day
22.)Roach is found in my place, probably from the people downstairs who have moved out, we try and catch it. I think it went back downstairs... yay...
23.)I realize that the light in the front room is burned out.
24.)By the time the comic is up, I'll have missed a web scraper that tells people it's new
25.)I have a sketch, but have not finished the code to put it on the site, because I didn't get home until 10:30
26.)I have no soda here because I didn't stop by 7/11, because I didn't go to class.
and that's just the stuff I remember.
